The Kaldurg fort is just 6 km from Palghar station. The height of the Kaldurg Fort is around 1500 feet and it takes about an hour to reach the fort top from the base. This is a great jungle trek, and the monsoon is the best season to visit. The trek is in easy grade and easy endurance level. Waghoba Temple is the base village. You can easily reach Waghoba temple from Palghar station by ST or Tamtam. There are many monkeys at Waghoba temple, so beware of them.
As the top of the fort is a square shape, the fort is easily recognizable from nearby places. The fort top is smaller than half an acre and must be used for surveillance. There are water tanks (two) and a few steps to reach the top of the fort.
On the west to the fort is the Arabian Sea, on the north is the Devkhop Dam and Asawa fort, on the northeast is the Asherigad fort, on the east is the river Surya and Kohoj fort and on the south are some mountain ranges and Tandulwadi fort. Although the fort top is small, if you're here with the small group, have a tent and enough food and water then you can stay here for the night.

I started trekking in the Sahyadri mountains in 2017 and one thing I realized with great excitement is that there are many such places for tourism in Sahyadri. The Sahyadri has many hills, forts, waterfalls, rivers, lakes, forests, wildlife sanctuaries, etc. which are or can be excellent tourist destinations, so all that is needed is to share the information related to treks and tourist places in the Sahyadri mountains to reach all the peoples out there.
With that, I am also an enthusiast who wants to do treks and travel all over India.
This is a small attempt to present to you my exploration of the Sahyadri mountains and India.
