Mrugagad fort is located in Sudhagad Taluka, Raigad District. One can trek to the fort from Bheliv village. The trek route leads towards the fort just behind the temple of Bhavani Mata in the village. 

When I visited, the temple was undergoing renovation work. Now surely the temple area should have been improved. An hour is enough to reach the fort top. Another replica of Bhavani Mata is also at top of the fort. As soon as we climb up the steps carved in the rock, the Goddess is seen in front. This idol was under the iron sheet shed when I visited last year, 2021. An easy-grade jungle trek, a path through a ridge, rock-carved steps, a cave, a Goddess idol on the fort, water tanks, and some ruins are the highlights of this trek. Behind the fort is the Moradi Pinnacle and the Lonavala mountain range.
